While I’m delayed in sharing these pictures from the fall, it’s a bit nice to look at the colors and remember what it was like when it was NOT winter in Chicago! I wish we could go back to this moment with these darling twin girls. I had the chance to photograph them when they were brand new and so it is so fun to see how they’ve grown into little people with such different personalities. During a family session with kids this age, we start with pictures of the siblings together while they are still acclimating to their surroundings and not moving around as much. Then we move into the family portraits, fun and formal, keeping things light and moving quickly. Once we capture these ‘gotta have’ shots, then we can all relax and continue to get more portraits of the family and children just being themselves. Family sessions like this are my absolute favorite to photograph. These are memories they will forever treasure. I will soon be sharing what these beautiful portraits will look like up on their wall.
Adorable little Baby L certainly has brought warmth to a Chicago family during a crazy cold and snowy winter here. Oblivious to the conditions outside, he has all he needs indoors with his loving family. He was absolutely perfect for his portraits, sleeping soundly the whole time, allowing me to tuck him into this bucket for one set of pictures.

The Valentine’s Day Mini Session event at Kids Science Labs was adorable as you can imagine! We raised money to benefit the Dando Amor orphans in Ecuador and Africa. Thank you for all your generous donations. I look forward to giving all the families their Valentine’s Day cards to share with school mates and family.
If you missed the event but would still like to give the gift of portraits for Valentine’s Day, contact me about Gift Certificates or custom on-location Valentine’s Day sessions.
Here are some highlights from the event.
